2. Shop software and hosting

Our online shop is operated using Magento shop software and hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. We have a contract with Hetzner for order processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. The server locations are within the European Union. The use of Hetzner is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in ensuring that our website is as reliable as possible.

 

When you visit our online shop, Hetzner automatically processes technical information to ensure the functionality and security of the website:

  • IP address (in anonymized form)

  • Browser type and browser version

  • Operating system

  • Referrer URL (the previously visited page)

  • Date and time of the request

  • Session IDs and cookies for session management

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in the security and functionality of the shop).

 

3. Data processing for orders

The following personal data is processed for the purpose of processing orders and managing customer accounts:

 

  • Last name, first name

  • Email

  • Billing and delivery address

  • Phone number (if provided)

  • Payment information

  • Order history

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (performance of a contract).

 

4. Payment methods

We only offer purchase on account as a payment option. Payment data is therefore not passed on to payment service providers.

 

5. Shipping service providers

We generally use UPS to ship your order, and in some cases DHL. For delivery purposes, we pass on your delivery address to the respective shipping company.

 

6. Advertising to existing customers (direct advertising)

We use the contact details of our existing customers (e.g., name, address, email address) to provide information about our products and services via email or postal advertising. This processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6 (1) lit. GDPR (legitimate interest) and, in the case of advertising measures by email, in accordance with the provisions of Section 7 (3) UWG (German Unfair Competition Act). Our legitimate interest is to make relevant offers and maintain a long-term customer relationship.

 

Personal data will only be stored for as long as is necessary for the stated purpose (existence of the customer relationship) or until you object to its use.

You have the right to object to the use of your data for advertising purposes at any time. You can do this informally by contacting us using the contact details above.

Upon receipt of your objection, we will no longer use your data for advertising purposes.

 

 

7. Web analysis and tracking

To optimize our offering, we use Matomo, a privacy-friendly web analytics tool. Matomo works without tracking cookies by default, and the evaluation takes place on our own servers in Germany. The legal basis for processing is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR) in analyzing and improving our website. The data collected includes, for example, the time and duration of the page view, the pages viewed, and, if applicable, your abbreviated IP address (a direct assignment to your person is not possible). You can object to the collection of data at any time.

 

 

8. Storage period

We only store your data for as long as is necessary for the respective purposes, which may include:

Registered customer accounts: Permanent, until account deletion

Cookies (essential): Until end of session / max. 12 months

Contact form inquiries: 6 months

Log data (e.g., IP addresses): 6 months

 

After the storage period has expired, your data will be securely deleted or anonymized.

 

 

9. Consent to the use of cookies

We use cookies to ensure that the online shop functions properly. In order to obtain your valid consent to the use and storage of cookies in the browser you use to access our website and to document this properly, we use a consent management platform: CookieFirst.
